Job Purpose & Scope:

Perform Planning and planning control for projects undertaken by EP unit and ZADCO business units for effective and high quality process and to ensure proper coordination with all conceed units/departments assuring proper project planning on time.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Analysis and evaluation of project bids with respect to Execution Strategy, Planning, Scheduling, Progress monitoring and Control, analyzing time implications due to any possible changes in the scope during project implementation.
  2. Perform risk analysis of project plans to identify Risk issues and recommend appropriate mitigation actions. Identification and analysis of complications and problems and recommend suitable remedies.
  3. Analysis and evaluation of major project bids with respect to Execution Strategy, Planning, Scheduling, Progress monitoring and Control, analyzing time implications due to any possible changes in the scope during project implementation.
  4. Identify long lead items and ensure timely Engineering and preparation of material and purchase requisitions.
  5. Define the Work Break Down Structure (WBS) according to the scope of work. The activities to be listed for various detail levels up to level 3, further detail to be done by Contractor/Consultants to be reviewed.
  6. Co ordination with stakeholders in other sections (EPE/EPP/CM etc) to develop the schedule.
  7. Development of Baseline schedules for projects managed by EP Unit for Business units.
  8. Preparation of Planning/reporting (Appendix D) & invoicing (Appendix E) of the ITT document.
  9. Provide support during Technical Evaluation of Bids. Review & verify overall plans, activities, durations & resource requirement submitted by Consultants/Contractors.
  10. After contract award, review and approve Planning and reporting procedure and Planning Package, submitted by Consultants / Contractors.
  11. Review the weekly progress report, attend the weekly projects progress meeting with the Contractors and visit the work site to verify the actual progress of on going projects.
  12. Checking/reconciliation of the invoice submitted by Contractor against defined payment terms.
  13. Preparation of the weekly and Monthly report in co ordination with other sections/departments.
  14. Preparation of Operating Plan and 5 year Business Plan.
  15. Preparation of Projects execution strategies and What if Analysis in terms of impact on the project plan.
  16. Preparation of the project's Decision Support Package (DSP) for the relevant stages of VAP process.
